Treasurer's Report:
Lisa Horan presented a two page
report with a YTD summary report.
The balance in the account
as of March 14, 2006 is $23,408.14.
The garage sale profit was
$3,408.50
Principal report:
Mr. Grossman asked for feedback from the author's visit.
Maggie Wilson won first place in the spelling bee and
her picture was in the booster.
Doug Holcomb is the
leader of publicity.
Internet Safety program to be held April 25th 1215-115
for parents and students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
Shawn Boyd the Dare Officer will present the program.
Yes program will be given to the 2nd grade.
March 29th is Career day for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
Mrs. Duffy would like H&S to provide refreshments for
parent volunteers.
Mr. Koebel and Ruth Ann Farthing reviewed the crisis
management plan for safety. To evacuate the school
everyone would go to the church. To evacuate the entire
campus everyone would go to North Broadway Church.
A datebase has been done for Protecting God's Children.
50% of parents haven't attended the program so they will
not be able to volunteer. Chairpeople will submit the
names of their volunteers to the office to be reviewed.
Students are being told if someone doesn't have a name
tag on then they are considered a stranger. Stickers
are going to be put on the entrances to let people know
that students can't open the doors to them.
Old Business:
The christmas boutique meetings are the
first tuesday of every month. Next month's meeting will be at
Panera 7pm. A fireplace and Santa suit have been purchased. All
are welcome and ideas are needed.
Board Elections:
Board Elections will be taking place soon. A note will be sent
out for all parents to run.

Nancy stated she will contact Barnes and Noble to get a date
for a Spring bookfare. Mr. Grossman stated the summer reading
list could be sent out and parents could use the list to buy
books for the summer. If parents buy scrips to Barnes and Noble
they could be used at the voucher program.
New Business:
Presented by Nancy Wygle: Budget planning
will be next month.
Nancy asked about how many sweatshirts and Tshirts were left.
Mr. Grossman stated that the uniform stores are selling the gym
tshirts and Karen Groeber has been selling the sweatshirts.
Open Agenda:
Sue Ritter gave everyone a copy of the Home
and School Collaborative Grant. Changes were made on the grant.
The grant gives $3,000 per year to encourage profession growth
and development during the summer months to teachers at IC. Sue
would like the grant in the teacher handbook. Mr. Grossman would
like a reply letter which would tell the teachers they have been
accepted and how the money is to be dispersed and that they will
need to make a presentation to the H&S Board meeting.
Someone asked when the art show was this year. Mr. Grossman
stated there is no art show this year.
Next meeting April 11th, 2006 at 7pm in
the school office. All are welcome!
